13/1/19 What a start to 2019! A great evening at Newcastle yesterday with Plumette running a fantastic race on debut finishing second. She was beaten half a length by the favourite who boasts solid form. You’d like to think with improvements forthcoming she’d go close next time. The following race saw Tough Remedy line up in a race which didn’t suit pace wise but he duly dug deep and won by a length. He won his first race on this card 12 months ago and last nights success took him to 4 wins in 12 starts. A lovely horse for all involved and great to have so many members there last night.

10/1/19 After some slightly frustrating runs with nothing going our way we head to Newcastle on Saturday with 2. Plumette makes her debut in the 3yo Novice over 6f for Richard Fahey. It’s her first day at school and we’d be hopeful that she can run well and anything else would be a bonus.

Tough Remedy lines up in the 0-95 over 1m facing 5 rivals, a lack of pace would be an inconvenience but again you’d have to hope he can run a nice race. PJ McDonald rides both.

28/12/18 After a few days rest over the Christmas period we kick off with Landing Night at Southwell tomorrow, he lines up in the 1.45 and Clifford Lee rides. We are hopeful that he can run a nice race tomorrow with some pace in the race allowing him to take a nice lead in. If things go his way we’d like to think he could finish in the top 3.

We also have Tough Remedy entered at Lingfield on Monday over a mile.

15/12/18 We headed to Newcastle today for Tough Remedy lining up in the 3.50 race. Our concern was the lack of pace on the race and ultimately this is what did us. He broke well and sat just behind the leader, they absolutely crawled and then quickened it up 2 out which isn’t what we want. Remy also pulled a hind shoe off. This is a run to totally write off and we will find something else for him in the coming weeks.

13/12/18 Tough Remedy has been declared for Newcastle on Saturday. He steps into Class 2 company for the first time. He faces 4 rivals and PJ McDonald takes the ride. It will end up a tactical affair with so few runners but you’d be hopeful that he can run a nice race given the step up in grade. There doesn’t seem to be much pace in the race which wouldn’t necessarily suit but given he’s the only 3 year old in the field he could find the required improvement.

We also have some membership heading to the pre training yard to see how’s our yearlings have been getting on. We have been very happy with their progress and they will head into their training yards after Christmas.

11/12/18 Landing Night headed to Wolverhampton last night, they went no pace which is pretty crucial he finished 7th beaten 3 lengths, he will head to Southwell next Friday more then likely.

23/11/18 A great day yesterday with Landing Night running a fantastic race to finish 5th beaten 2 lengths in the Class 3 at Newcastle. Tough Remedy then lined up at Wolves last night and duly won beating the short priced fav. Andrew gave him a great ride and we are delighted. He brings up our 8th winner of the year!

21/11/18 Tomorrow we head to both Newcastle and Wolverhampton. Landing Night lines up in the 4.35 at Newcastle with PJ in the saddle. Tough Remedy heads to Wolverhampton in the 8.00 with Andrew Breslin keeping the ride.

We are also pleased to welcome Jedd O’Keeffe to our training roster for 2019. We are hugely excited to be involved with a fantastic set up and team.

19/11/18 We have a couple of entries so far this week. Landing Night after his excellent run at Southwell last week on return from a break, will hopefully head to Newcastle on Thursday. Tough Remedy also holds an entry on Thursday at Wolverhampton.

9/11/18 We head back to Doncaster tomorrow for the last day of the turf flat season. We have Tough Remedy lining up in the 11.45 Apprentice Race with Andrew Breslin keeping the ride.

27/10/18 Tough Remedy makes it a wining trip to Doncaster! Given a great ride by Andrew Breslin he was slowly away but soon in touch, he met with trouble in running a couple of times before storming down the outside to win. He fully deserved this win after some niggles early on in the year.

25/10/18 It was disappointing to see Swissterious fail to fire for a second consecutive time at Newcastle on Tuesday, but he was rather caught out wide and it appeared the place to be during the evening was the stands’ side. Other than that there were no real excuses and it could just be he has had enough for the season.

Tough Remedy will be in action on Saturday on the Vertem Futurity Trophy card at Doncaster. He lines up in the concluding apprentice handicap and will be ridden by Andrew Breslin. Hopefully the run at Ayr a couple of weeks ago will have tightened him up in all departments and the straight 7f at Doncaster should play to his strengths.

22/10/18 Unwritten had every chance at Catterick on Saturday but was soon done with once headed.

Swissterious looks to bounce back from a muted effort at Redcar when tackling the AW qualifier at Newcastle tomorrow evening. It could well have been he raced on the ‘wrong’ side of the track last time and a repeat of his second to Khaadem at Doncaster would put him in with a real chance. Clifford Lee once again takes the ride.

18/10/18 We headed to Newcastle last night to see Quantatmental line up in the 5.45. PJ got him into a nice rhythm in front and with ears pricked he took them into the straight in front, he just lost his position in the final furlong. In that grade he just doesn't have that final finishing kick of some of the others. Unwritten, Quantatmental and Swissterious all hold an entry in the HIT Sale at Tattersalls at the end of the month.

Unwritten heads to Catterick on Saturday, where we hope he can bounce back from a low-key effort at Ayr.

16/10/18 Tomorrow sees Quantatmental bid to follow up his recent Wolverhampton success in the second race at Newcastle. He was given a well-judged ride from the front on that occasion and has been put up 5lbs for that victory. Repeating such tactics at a course like Newcastle along with that rise won’t make life easy, but hopefully he can run well.

We’re delighted that PJ McDonald is fit and ready to ride him again after his injury.

05/10/18 It wasn’t to be on Tuesday at Ayr, with Tough Remedy unsurprisingly looking rusty, closing up late having never been involved. He should be a lot more competitive when we next see him.

Unwritten faded from prominence and will now be off to the sales.

Tomorrow sees Swissterious tackle the valuable Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar. It looks a typically competitive renewal, but he certainly deserves his prominent position in the market given what he has achieved so far. Any rain would help and it’s not difficult to envisage him being very well suited by a well-run race over six furlongs. Fingers firmly crossed that he can do himself justice. He will be ridden by Clifford Lee once again.

Quantatmental goes to Wolverhampton in the evening. It’s fair to say has been a little disappointing since his hard-fought win at Haydock in June, though the course wouldn’t have played to his strengths at Chester and Haydock last time will have come soon enough. Ali Rawlinson will take the ride.

01/10/18 Following a period of relative inactivity since the Leger meeting, things certainly pick up this week for the club.

Tomorrow sees the long-awaited return of Tough Remedy in the 4.20 at Ayr. It is a 0-90 handicap over seven furlongs and looks the ideal opportunity to re-introduce our son of Tough As Nails. After eight months off, it is only to be expected that he’ll improve on whatever he does, but hopefully he can acquit himself with credit and give us something to look forward to for the autumn and winter months.

35 minutes later Unwritten contests the 10f 0-85 handicap on the same card. He showed his first bit of form this season when a good third at Doncaster last month and we can hope he can build on that, though it’s a shame the ground won’t be as testing as it was for the Western meeting last month as he evidently enjoys plenty of give underfoot. He has been eased 4lbs pounds in the weights which can only aid his cause as it looks a decent contest for the grade.

Clifford Lee will ride both horses.

13/9/18 Swissterious ran a tremendous race in defeat at Doncaster yesterday. Settled in behind the leaders, he travelled nicely and came through a gap to challenge eventual winner Khaadem a furlong out, making that rival fight but beaten a little over a length at the line. He has a few options in the coming weeks, including the Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar.

Unwritten heads to Town Moor tomorrow for a classified event, bidding to get his career back on track after a rather stop-start 2018. The ground hasn’t been in his favour for much of the season and it’s likely conditions will also be lively enough for him tomorrow, although showers are forecast and it’s already riding on the slow side of good. Hopefully he can show something akin to his 2yo form.

11/9/18 Swissterious heads back to the scene of his win for a 6f conditions event at Doncaster tomorrow It’s a competitive little event, with the Charlie Hills-trained Khaadem sure to be well fancied.

9/9/18 French Sonnet heads to Leicester on Tuesday for a seller. She is inat  the sales at Doncaster on the 19th September so this will almost certainly be her last run for Titanium whatever happens. We hope she can step up on her muted debut effort.

UPDATE: French Sonnet has been pulled out of today’s race.

23/8/18 It wasn't to be for Swissterious yesterday at York, but there were plenty of reasons to be positive. He didn't settle fully and then got involved in something a duel for the lead, that telling inside the final furlong as he faded into fifth. It's likely he'll step back to 6f for his next outing, with a conditions event at Doncaster's St Leger meeting on the agenda.

21/8/18 Swissterious has been declared to run in the Group 3 Acomb Stakes at York tomorrow. It looks a reasonable enough field without there being any Group form to speak of, and we'd hope 'Swissy' can go well.

12/8/18 French Sonnet heads to Ripon tomorrow for her debut outing. She'll be ridden by Clifford Lee.

27/7/18 A fantastic 48 hours for the Club, with Landing Night deservedly getting his head back in front under PJ McDonald at Musselburgh on Tuesday afternoon, and then two-year-old Swissterious making it third time lucky in emphatic fashion at Doncaster in front of several happy members on Thursday evening.

It was wonderful to see Landing Night resume winning ways after some frustrating reversals, finally getting both the decent ground conditions and good pace he desires, finishing well from off the speed  to collar Super Florence in the dying strides and score by a neck. For all the plan was initially to put him away for a autumn/winter campaign, he's so fresh and well that we will look to crack on with him. Full credit to Becky and all the staff at Howe Hills.

Swissterious duly delivered on the promise he had shown on his previous outing at Wolverhampton- and more - when running out a 4-length winner over some well-related/highly-regarded sorts. He used his experience to sit handy and travelled through smoothly to lead two furlongs out, forging clear inside the final furlong. He has earned a crack at a higher level and we will hopefully have an update on his next target very soon.

18/7/18 On Saturday we headed to Chester with Quantatmental who finished fifth. He couldn't get into his stride and didn't feel comfortable on the track. He will stick to more galloping tracks in the future. Today we have Landing Night due to run at Catterick. However we will make a decision after the first race as to whether he takes his chance after the course had 32.5mm of rain fall on Monday.

8/7/18 We headed to Haydock yesterday with Unwritten lining up in the £100,000 1m6f Handicap. It was a fact finding mission in a sense as he's never ran on ground as quick as it is currently. He travelled well to a point and then just couldn't go on on the ground. He will get dropped by the handicapper for that so hopefully we can find a race for him in the near future.

5/7/18 A busy week so far with Swissterious running at Wolverhampton on Monday and a great run it was. He stepped up to 7f and duly finished 2nd showing improved form from his debut. He has come out of the race fine and we will look for something for him soon. Landing Night went to Musselburgh yesterday and finished 2nd ( I hope we don't have seconditus!) running a cracking race  trying to give the winner 22lb!

27/6/18 After a quiet few weeks things are starting to pick up again. We have Quantatmental declared for Newcastle on Friday evening.  This includes ITV Racings  first broadcast of the Friday of the Northumberland Plate meeting.

7/6/18 Quantatmental followed up his Beverley win by taking the opener at Haydock this afternoon! Given a cracking ride by PJ from the front he just held on by a nose! So pleased for all involved!

1/6/18 We head to Musselburgh tomorrow with Landing Night lining up in the 4.55 race. Rowan Scott takes the ride, Landing Night has been in good form at home and we are looking forward to seeing how he gets on.

20/5/18 Another great run from Landing Night at Thirsk yesterday finishing 2nd! He may head to Musselburgh on June 2nd next. He's a huge credit to Rebecca Menzies and the team.

16/5/18 WINNER WINNER Quantatmental only went and WON! With a cracking front running ride from PJ! Huge thanks go to the Tom Dascombe team who get us off the mark for the turf season. We were particularly pleased to see Kev pick the trophy up as he only joined a few weeks ago, has already been racing 3/4 times  and been in the winners enclosure each time with a couple of 2nds/3rds and now a winner! Which is what its all about.

15/5/18 PJ was happy with Landing Night yesterday who ran another cracking race to finish 3rd. He will more then likely head to Thirsk on Saturday. Today we head to Beverley with Quantatmental in the 1m4 handicap.  We will learn more after today we suspect. We also have Swissterious entered on Friday at Hamilton.

9/5/18 We are starting next week with a few entries including 2 on Monday. Landing Night has been given an entry at his beloved Catterick,  and Quantatmental has received one for Wolverhampton

5/5/18 Landing Night ran a great race under Rowan Scott at Musselburgh to finish 4th beaten a length! He will likely head to Thirsk next on 19th May.

2/5/18 Landing Night has been declared for Musselburgh races on Friday, Rowan Scott rides. He won at Musselburgh last season and if things went his way  he'd run well.

30/4/18 A good weekend was had by all of our members who were able to attend the races. It started off with Unwritten finishing 3rd at Haydock. After a few little setbacks which had prevented him making his return earlier, it was great to see him back.  He will benefit for the run and we'll hopefully see him back out again in the near future. Normandy Blue then ran a cracking race on his return to turf at Doncaster in the evening. He heads to Tattersalls on Friday for the HIT sale. We then went to Wetherby yesterday to see our new horse Quantatmental, he was stepping up to 1m6f for the first time we were all delighted with his 3rd place. He obviously stays well and will appreciate better ground. It's likely he may be stepped u to 2m in the future.

26/4/18 Landing Night was not declared for Doncaster on Friday, we will wait for Musselburgh on Friday 4th May for him. Unwritten has been declared for the 1.30 at Haydock on Saturday he is trained by Karl Burke and will be ridden by PJ McDonald. He faces 3 rivals. Normandy Blue has also been declared on Saturday for Richard Fahey he runs in the 7.15 at Doncaster again PJ rides.

24/4/18 We have lots of entries over the weekend starting with Landing Night at Doncaster on Friday for Rebecca Menzies. We then have Unwritten entered to make his seasonal return at Haydock and Leicester then we have Normandy Blue at Doncaster on Saturday evening. We then have Quantatmental making his debut for us and another trainer to add to our team in Tom Dascombe he is entered at Wetherby on Sunday.

22/4/18 We had a lovely morning at Richard Fahey's and the sun made an appearance! Unfortunately during our visit Fortunate Move had an incident while cantering. She cracked her pelvis and will miss the season. It's a huge shame but she will be given plenty of time to recover.

20/04/18 It's been a quiet start to the turf season with the weather and so many abandonments. We can now announce a new horse member of the team, Landing Night trained by Rebecca Menzies has joined us for the season. He is currently rated 78 and will take in some decent handicaps, hopefully giving members some great days out along the way. He may run next week.  We also have options for Unwritten's seasonal return. Sunday see's us head to Richard Fahey's for our stable visit to see how our Heeraat filly is getting on she has now been named Fortunate Move. We're looking forward to welcoming everyone there.

01/4/18 Unwritten has been declared at Pontefract on Tuesday, where he will face just two rivals. It looks an excellent opportunity for him to make a winning return but, unfortunately, heavy ground and the threat of further rainfall means that the meeting is in severe doubt (an inspection is scheduled for 9am tomorrow).

Thankfully, there are two or three other options for him in similar events later in the month, so his return to action shouldn't be too long in coming should the card at Pontefract indeed fall victim to the elements.

26/3/18 The Flat season is well and truly underway now.  We have lots of entries this week with Normandy Blue in at Wolverhampton on Thursday and Newcastle on Friday. Swissterious is set to be our first 2 year old runner of the year, he holds an entry at Bath on Friday and will likely receive one for Musselburgh on Saturday. Unwritten will also receive an entry in the EBF High-Rise Novice Stakes at Pontefract on Tuesday 3rd April. There is no better time to get involved so take the plunge and get in touch for more details.

21/3/18 Unwritten is hopefully not far off making his seasonal return in the next few weeks. He has received an entry for the Oppenheim Union - Rennen (Group 2) at Cologne on the 17th June.

10/3/18 Members enjoyed a day out at Karl Burke's Spigot Lodge base, where they got to meet Unwritten and our two-year-olds by Kodiac, Poet's Voice and Swiss Spirit.  All being well, Unwritten will make his return to action on the 3rd April at Pontefract in the High-Rise Novice event - a race Karl won in 2013 with subsequent Derby runner-up Libertarian. Sadly, as he's now a gelding, Unwritten won't be following in his footsteps, but we hope it will provide the springboard for a successful season for the son of Poet's Voice.

The Kodiac colt was the subject of upbeat reports, with him hopefully being ready to roll once the 6f events come around from mid-May onwards. The Swiss Spirit colt is expected to be a slightly more precocious type and, as such, ought to be ready enough to hit the track next month.

We'd like to thank Karl and his staff for taking the time to show members their horses and around the yard.

5/3/18 We are into the final countdown to our Karl Burke visit which takes place this Saturday. For anyone who would like to attend please get in touch to confirm  and for details.

2/3/18 Street Sensation has been declared for Southwell on Sunday. He takes a step up to a mile and into handicap company for the first time. He also wears blinkers and Paul Hanagan rides.

13/2/18 Normandy Blue was disappointing last night. Paul felt he was going to pick up before being checked and he basically downed tools. He's the type of horse who cant be ran back quickly so we'll look for something in a few weeks and try some headgear on him. It may just be a case of he doesn't like an artificial surface but we will see.

10/2/18 We have Normandy Blue declared for Wolverhampton on Monday evening. He takes his chance in the 5.40 1m1f Handicap under Paul Hanagan, he's drawn 2 which is a benefit however he does need to step up on his last effort.

1/2/18 The form of Tough Remedy's win at Newcastle is working out well with the 2nd finishing a close 2nd at Lingfield over the weekend, the 3rd winning at Kempton last Friday and the 4th winning at Newcastle last night.

25/1//18 Normandy Blue ran at Kempton last night. He was always towards the rear and never looked like troubling the leaders. The track and trip didn't look to suit and we'll go back to the drawing board with him.

22/1/18 Normandy Blue has been declared for Kempton Park on Wednesday the race is now at 6.15 due to the Novice race being split. He has been drawn 3 of 11 and PJ McDonald rides.

20/1/18 We have Normandy Blue entered at Kempton Park on Wednesday evening. He holds an entry in the 5.45 over a mile it's also a London Series Mile Qualifier.

16/1/18 Tough Remedy has been raised 7lbs for his win on Friday to a mark of 84.

12/1/18 Tough Remedy WINS! Tough Remedy made a winning return at our local track tonight. He made the trek from Belstane to Newcastle worthwhile, he looked an absolute picture in the paddock. He travelled well in behind the leaders and stayed on well all the way to the line. He did show some greenness in the closing stages and there's surely some improvement to come from him. He holds an entry over 7f back at Newcastle next Wednesday for which he'd carry a 6lb penalty for tonight's victory. We'll see how he comes out of the race before making a decision.

TR (2).JPG

Street Sensation is learning with each run, we will see how the handicapper assesses him before giving him a step up in trip.

10/1/18  We have our first runners of 2018 at Newcastle on FridayTough Remedy takes his chance in the opening race on the card, it's his first run back from injury so we will know more after his race. He has to shoulder 10st 1lb against his 6 rivals. PJ McDonald takes the ride. Street Sensation runs in the 7.45 6f Novice race on the card, PJ again takes the reins. This is a step up in class and trip for him and we will surely see him in a better light once faced with handicaps.

5/1/18  We have our first stable visit of the year pencilled in for Saturday 10th March  at Karl Burke's. We will have the opportunity to see Unwritten, and our now 2 year olds, Kodiac Colt, Poet's Voice filly, Swiss Spirit Colt. If you'd like to get involved in ownership and would like to attend to find out more please get in touch via our contact page!

4/1/18  With a quiet period over Christmas and New Year we can now begin the countdown to the forthcoming Flat Season. The Kodiac X Throne colt has settled in well to Karl's and he is pleased with his progress. He will soon be joined by the Poet's Voice X Bahama Mama filly from pre training. The Swiss Spirit X Mysterious Girl colt and Heeraat X Fortunately filly will remain in pre training a little longer but continue to progress well. We are putting some dates together for our first stable visits of the year. There is no better time to get involved, why not get in touch via the contact page to find out more! Its more affordable then you think!

22/12/17 Merry Christmas to all our members, trainers and stable staff. Here's to an exciting 2018 ahead!

17/11/17 With just 5 weeks until Christmas our shares are the perfect Christmas gift, NO BUY IN FEES and monthly payments are £50 per month for 1 horse £75 for 2 or £175 for all 8. No hidden costs, the North's top trainers involved. For further detail please get in touch.

6/11/17 Our first member evening was a great success. We all had a fantastic night, we're  looking forward to many more. The food was excellent and we were able to watch the racing via our own private balcony. Newcastle also held their first Fireworks display to end the evening. A great spectacle.

25/10/17 Not a bad start to the week with Normandy Blue finishing 3rd in the first at Pontefract on Monday before Unwritten finished a pleasing 5th in the Listed race, he likely wants further now but we will put him away for the winter and there has been talk of races like the Melrose at York for him next year. Skito Soldier showed well for a way on Tuesday and finished 7th he is another who'd likely benefit for a step up in trip. Both Normandy Blue and Skito Soldier hold an entry in the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale next week.

18/10/17 We have what looks to be a busy week upcoming on the runner front. Normandy Blue has been given an entry in the opening race on Pontefract's card on Monday a 0-75 1m Nursery. Unwritten could become our first Listed race runner on Monday. He has been given an entry in the Silver Tankard Listed Race over 1m however he will only run if the ground is suitable. Skito Soldier has been given an entry at Newcastle on Tuesday in a 7f Novice race.

5/10/17  Our new yearlings are looking very well. They will be heading to their pre training yard in the next few weeks and were looking forward to following their progress. We have shares available starting from £50 per month including in our last time out winner Unwritten! Get in touch to find out more.

29/9/17 Both Normandy Blue and Skito Soldier run tomorrow. Normandy Blue heads to Ripon for the 2.35 and Skito Soldier heads to Haydock for the 4.25. Fingers crossed for good runs from both.

29/9/17Unwritten WINS! The ground was heavy at Pontefract yesterday but this didn't inconvenience Unwritten at all. He was drawn wide but he got himself into a nice early rhythm and quickly made ground up on the leaders. Travelling nicely in behind the front 3, PJ soon pulled himout to challenge before striding away to win by 9 lengths!  We are delighted for everyone involved!

26/9/17 Unwritten has been declared for Pontefract on Thursday. He faces 7 rivals and has been drawn 8 of 8, PJ takes the ride. Unwritten finished a pleasing 4th on debut at Hamilton if he can show improvement and step forward on that run, we'd be hopeful of him running a nice race.

25/9/17 Lineofintelligence has been declared for Redcar on Wednesday and Tony Hamilton takes the ride. It looks a hot race with a Godolphin horse partaking but as long as he shows some improvement from Chester I'm sure we'll be satisfied. We also have Unwritten entered on Thursday at Pontefract and both Normandy Blue and Skito Soldier entered on Saturday.

19/9/17 Our 4 new yearlings have gone LIVE on the Our Horses page, check them out! We have some great new ownership options available for the year ahead. Get in touch to find out more.

15/9/17  We have some exciting new ownership options and new yearlings to be revealed next week! If you would like to be added to the mailing list and find out more please get in touch via the contact page.

13/9/17Tough Remedy has been taken out of the race this afternoon and wont run. The ground has gone very testing and we don't want to risk him.

11/9/17 Tough Remedy has been declared for Carlisle on Wednesday he has top weight but Rowan Scott takes a nifty 5lb off. It looks a competitive race and we're hopeful of a good run.

03/09/17  continued...  We had a great day at Rebecca Menzies Owners Open Day. This included a parade of all horses, a look round the yard and facilities, lunch, a raffle and an auction. This was all in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Becky and the team did a fantatsic job and the horses were turned out beautifully. The total raised came to a whopping £6,000+! A great achievement. Desert Way looked in top form and we will hopefully see her on track soon.

03/09/17 Normandy Blue ran an encouraging race at Chester, sticking to the task well to take second in an admittedly average contest. He has been handed a workable opening mark of 67 for nurseries and we hope to see him continue his progress in that sphere.

Skito Soldier was a little disappointing at Beverley last Sunday. He was never really travelling with any fluency and, for all he took third, he was receiving 10lbs from that first two taking into account Clifford Lee's 3lb claim. It may be the case that easier ground will see him in a better light.

We are currently finalising plans for the likes of Lil Gem, Tough Remedy and Desert Way, who is fully recovered after her issue at Ayr. The first two named should be seen in the latter part of this month, all being well.

24/8/17 Normandy Blue has been declared for Chester on Saturday. He faces 7 rivals and has been drawn 7, David Nolan rides. This is his last run to qualify for nurseries,  which we hope will see him in a much better light.

Desert Way has been back in light work over the past few days and seems to have no ill-effects from her atrial fibrillation. Hopefully this was as hoped a one off.

23/8/17Unwritten  has been declared for Hamilton on Friday evening. He faces 7 rivals and Ben Curtis rides. He will need the run and will  certainly come on for the experience. We are looking forward to him getting his career on the track underway. It looks a tight maiden on paper with the Keith Dalgleish horse likely to go off favourite.

unwritten 6.jpg

21/8/17 Unwritten has been given an entry at Hamilton on Friday evening to make his debut. Normandy Blue has been given and entry for both Chester on Saturday and Beverley on Sunday. Skito Soldier has also been given an entry at Beverley on Sunday.

21/8/17  A new week in Titanium HQ after a fantastic weekend for our trainers! Including a 1-2 for Karl Burke in the Group 1 Prix Morny with Unfortunately winning against Havana Grey. If you are looking to get involved in ownership and would like to find out more details check out the contact page to find out more!

19/8/17 Normandy Blue ran at Wolverhampton yesterday against some nice types on paper. Sammy bounced him out and he found himself upside the odds on fav vying for the lead. He travelled well until push came to shove and he weakened to 6th. He is now 1 step closer to getting a mark to be able to run in nurseries. He will find these much easier. He did win Best Turned Out which is a credit to the staff in the yards who look after these horses day in day out. It's really great to see their work recognised.

16/8/17 Normandy Blue has been declared for Wolverhampton on Friday with Sammy Jo Bell booked to ride. 8 have been declared.  We have been drawn 3. Hopefully he can show some improvement from Doncaster last time.

14/8/17 PJ eased right off Annie today and effectively pulled her up. She was examined by the vet immediately afterwards and found to be suffering from atrial fibrillation. Basically her heart was out of sync. She was allowed to travel home where she arrived back late and was settled down by the team at Becky's, she had a comfortable night and it rectified itself over night. The vet recommended a couple of easy days before bringing her back into work. Sometimes it can be caused by horses being too fit but it is unlikely to happen again.

12/8/17 Desert Way aka Annie has been declared for the 4.45 at Ayr on Monday. She faces 10 rivals and PJ rides, it looks an open contest for being a Class 3 and hopefully she'll give it her best shot once again.

11/8/17  Gem was taken off her feet at Musselburgh this afternoon but tried to stay on, we will see what we do next with her. Skito Soldier made a very pleasing debut at Haydock this evening. He travelled kindly but as expected ran green in the final furlong hanging in behind the favourite and eventual winner Exhort. He will come on plenty for that and was given a Timeform rating of 75 after the race. We will look for something suitable in the coming weeks for him.

9/8/17 We have both Skito Soldier and Lil Gem declared on Friday. Skito Soldier goes to Haydock for their evening meeting which includes a music night with Olly Murs. His race is 6.45 and has 7 declared it looks a nice starting point for him, however he will come on for the experience. Lil Gem heads to Musselburgh for the first race of the day. We have the services of Rowan Scott who takes 5 off as with a class 6 nursery it isn't the best of races and we'd be hopeful she can show some improvement for the step into this company.

Desert Way has been given an entry at Ayr on Monday. She's been well at home and we'd like to think she could run well and back up her last time out win. Phil Andrews a local photographer was in at Becky's yesterday morning and got some great shots of Annie on the gallops.

7/8/17 We had a great day with members at Doncaster on Saturday. Normandy Blue was late coming into the paddock and when he entered he had a good look round and was slightly on his toes. There was a big crowd and a lot to take in for his first trip away, we have no doubt that mentally today's experience will bring him on a hell of a lot. He loaded fine and jumped well he struggled from stall 14 to get him in amongst horses, he stayed on at the finish. The winner looked quite smart and the comments after were that he's just a big baby with a little more growing to do. We feel he's more then capable of picking up handicaps down the line after a step up in trip.

The same as above probably also applies to Lineofintelligence at Chester, he was a little buzzy beforehand and went to post keenly. He loaded with no problems but was slowly away, PJ vigorously chased him along to try and latch onto the leaders after finding himself detached. The course probably didn't help but he found himself staying on at the end when the penny finally dropped.

We have Lil Gem entered in a Nursery at Musselburgh on Friday afternoon and Skito Soldier entered to make his debut at Haydock on Friday evening.

3/8/17 Normandy Blue has been declared to make his debut at Doncaster on Saturday in the 2.45 race. He faces 14 rivals and Barry McHugh rides. 7 of the 15 participants have had a run or two, hopefully he can show some promise and run a nice race. Richard saddles 3 in the race who all make their debuts and we are drawn 14.

1/8/17  We're now into August and things are about to hot up for Team Titanium. We have Normandy Blue entered at Doncaster on Saturday, Lineofintelligence entered on Sunday at Chester. We also have races for Lil Gem and Desert Way in the following weeks. If you want further info about getting involved please don't hesitate to get in touch.

31/7/17  Members had a great morning at Richard Fahey's yesterday seeing Normandy Blue and Lineofintelligence on the gallops. Both horses looked great and Richard feels they are now ready to make their debuts. They should hopefully be out in the next couple of weeks. Members also got the chance to have a look round the yard and to see the other horses including stable star Ribchester. Richard and his team have a fantastic set up and it really is a great yard to be involved with.

Becky has very kindly extended her annual Owners Open Day invite to Titanium Members too. This includes a parade of the horses, bar, raffle/auction and supper. With so much going on behind the scenes at Titanium as well as lots of runners coming up its a great time to get involved with the team.

28/7/17   With a quiet week or two on the runner front there probably isn't a better time to get involved with Team Titanium. Only 3 of our 8 horses have ran and we've managed over 9k in prize money since May! We still have 5 horses to hit the track. We have frequent stable visits including a visit this Sunday 30th July to Richard Fahey's, if you are interested in ownership and would like to attend email:-

megan@titanium-racing.co.uk for details.

We also have our trip to Newmarket in September including a visit to see Frankel and Dubawi etc. We really are a club who focuses on member enjoyment.

25/7/17   Tough Remedy doesn't know how to run a bad race, he was slowly away but quickly found his stride and travelled well behind the leaders he picked up when asked and just bumped into one on the day. He can be a bit fractious before hand at the start and loses concentration leaving the stalls we will probably geld him in the hope this helps. The step up in trip certainly didn't inconvenience and we can see him getting 7f.

Desert Way has been raised 6lb for her win to a mark of 83, hopefully this wont inconvenience us too much and we will see which races suit in 3-4 weeks time. Lil Gem has been given an opening mark of 52 we will look for a suitable nursery where we can step her up in trip also.

21/7/17  Wow what a night! We are so delighted to get our first winner on the board. Desert Way wins at Doncaster! We were hoping for a much better showing then at Beverley and that's what we got. She broke slowly and dropped in behind runners, settling nicely behind a decent gallop. The first 3 in the market underperformed on the day and the race basically fell into our lap. She quickened up well and won by 3 and a half lengths. We couldn't be happier for everyone involved, our members and a huge thanks must go to Rebecca Menzies and her team especially Gemma who adores Annie as she is known at home.

20/7/17  Yesterday we headed over to Catterick for their Racing Welfare day to see Lil Gem run in the first race. She is such a sweet little filly and behaves impeccably in the paddock. She was very well turned out and duly received Best Turned Out. This was won by Jordan, Keith's travelling head lad who spends many an hour on the motorway headed to a racecourse. Gem was disappointing in a way she just doesn't have the legs to keep up with the bigger horses over 5f and she was always outpaced. She will now receive a mark and be eligible to run in nurseries, we will also step her up in trip which should also help her.

Racing Welfare is a great charity supporting Stable Staff working and retired. They really do a fantastic job if you'd like to find out more about what they do follow the link below.

This evening see's us head to Doncaster for Desert Way, she needs to step up on previous efforts but she has a lot in her favour. However if the ground happens to deteriorate she wouldn't run.

17/7/17   We have declared Lil Gem for Catterick on Wednesday. She lines up in the 2.05 and faces 12 rivals, PJ McDonald takes the ride. She will get a mark following Wednesday's run and nurseries will suit her better. We have Desert Way entered for Doncaster on Thursday evening in the 8.20 race.

12/7/17    Tough Remedy has not been declared for Carlisle on Friday. We have options for him in the next fortnight, if you'd like to get involved with the club and find out more please get in touch. We have stable visits, stud visits and plenty of races planned in for the coming weeks.

11/7/17  Our quiet spell continues, but as it's quiet with runners that gives us more chance to organise things behind the scenes. Our latest activity is a stable visit to Richard Fahey's Musley Bank Stables on Sunday 30th July. If you would like to attend please get in touch via the contact page using the link below.

We also have Tough Remedy entered in 2 races at Carlisle on Friday evening, in the Novice stakes over 6f and the Nursery Handicap over 7f. He will run ground depending.

3/7/17 Lil Gem has been given an entry at Beverley on Friday evening. It will be a quiet couple of weeks forthcoming but the end of July looks to be busy in Titanium HQ and no better time to get involved. There are races for Desert Way, Tough Remedy and Unwritten could make his debut around then, on top of a stable visit to Richard Fahey's!

29/6/17  Tough Remedy ran another respectable race in defeat being beaten only 1 1/2 lengths in 5th. He broke well but hit what seems his customary flat spot before picking up and running on late at the finish. He will now have a short break before being stepped up in trip.

27/6/17  Desert Way ran disappointingly this afternoon at Beverley, nothing obvious looked wrong afterwards but we'll get her home and see if anything comes to light.

26/6/17We have Desert Way running at Beverley Racecourse tomorrow in the 3.30. PJ McDonald rides and she faces 6 rivals. We'd be hopeful of another consistent run from Annie who is fresh and well at home.

Tough Remedy  has been declared for Carlisle on Wednesday at 2pm he faces 9 rivals, PJ rides.

21/6/17 Whilst the wait for our first winner goes on, it surely won't be long until our colours are in the winners' enclosure. Desert Way ran with real credit yesterday afternoon. She proved very fresh on her way down to the start and was also a bit free in the race itself. She was rather left in front as the front-running Carthage dropped back with still over half a mile left to run, leading until approaching the two furlong marker, slightly impeded on the rail as she faded. She will improve appreciably for that run and we hope to see her back in action very soon indeed, with a more galloping track expected to see her to better effect.

18/6/17 Desert Way has been declared to run at Thirsk on Tuesday afternoon. As ever, PJ McDonald takes the ride. She has been fresh and raring to go at home and we anticipate a good run now stepped up in distance.

15/6/17    We had Tough Remedy run at Hamilton last night. He looked extremely well prior however things didn't quite go to plan thereafter. He was taken off his feet early and ended up being ridden from before 2f out, gaps then didn't appear when PJ wanted them. He then switched out wide and finished off well just not quite getting there and in the end being beaten a neck. He's had 2 quick runs so will now have a couple of weeks to recover before we find another race for him, preferably over 6f.

13/6/17  We have selected a possible race option for Desert Way at Thirsk next Tuesday, she will get an entry and the forecast looks set fair so she will hopefully get her ground.

12/6/17 Lil Gem made another encouraging step in her fledgling racing career. Having bounced out well she showed fair early pace before faltering in the closing stages. She sticks her neck out and tries, she will have another run on better ground and we will look to run her in a little nursery somewhere once she has a mark.

Desert Way was a non runner due to the ground going against her. It was nice to see that Timeform went for her and tipped her up as their selection. Hopefully she can prove them right in due course.

Tough Remedy has been declared for Hamilton on Wednesday - he faces 4 rivals. PJ McDonald rides.

8/6/17   Desert Way has been declared for Chester on Saturday. There is 10 in the race and she's been handed stall 9. She will only run if the ground does NOT deteriorate further, PJ McDonald will ride.

7/6/17  We headed to Wetherby yesterday to see Tough Remedy make his eagerly awaited debut. The weather wasn't great but it didn't dampen our spirits. He behaved impeccably in the prelims and looked impressive in physique -  he sure has grown! He dwelt out the stalls but quickly latched on to the pack making headway on the inner, looking to challenge between rivals before running out of room having to switch wide costing him valuable momentum. He couldn't quite peg the winner back and was beaten a neck, the stewards held an enquiry but they were never going to reverse the placings. PJ was delighted with him and said greenness cost him as he just couldn't get through the gap in time.

Lil Gem has been declared for Carlisle on Thursday in a fillies only Novice race, hopefully she can show further improvement from her first start.

5/6/17We head to Wetherby Racecourse tomorrow for Tough Remedy's long awaited debut. The maiden was split into 2 divisions and he partakes in the 1st. He's one of only 3 newcomers in the field of which Sulafaat is Mark Johnston's for Shadwell and Karen McLintock'sStopwatch is the other. Of those with experience Dontgiveuponbob one of 2 for Richard Fahey ran a credible 4th last time out beaten 1 1/4 lengths behind Zap who upheld the form at Epsom on Saturday running respectably in the Woodcote. The others all have some improvement to find and we'd be hopeful that Tough Remedy could run a respectable race on debut. Good luck to all members attending.

Tough Remedy

Tough Remedy

2/6/17 We could potentially have 3 runners next week, Tough Remedy has a couple of entries at Wetherby and Hamilton (we will decide over the weekend which is more suitable). Lil Gem has an entry at Hamilton and Desert Way at Carlisle. It could be an exciting week for Team Titanium.

30/5/17   After a quiet bank holiday weekend its all systems go at Titanium HQ. Tough Remedy has not been declared for Thursday however we have Desert Way planned to go to Carlisle next Thursday 8th June. We also have an exciting opportunity for members to attend Chester Races on Saturday 10th June with full owner benefits just minus the nerves of a Titanium runner! Any members who'd like to attend should contact Megan by Thursday 8th June.

25/5/17 We have a quiet few days in Titanium Towers mulling over race options for the horses. There are a few races for Desert Way and Tough Remedy upcoming. Lil Gem came out of her race fine and we will be looking for a suitable target for her too.

Desert Way AKA Annie

22/5/17Unfortunately Tough Remedy is a non runner today due to banging a joint overnight.

20/5/17 Lil Gem made a pleasing enough debut at Thirsk today. She behaved impeccably in the prelims and bagged herself Best Turned Out! She broke well but could not quite go with the leaders, plugging on at the one pace to finish 7th beaten 7 3/4 lengths. PJ was happy with her attitude, reporting for all she is small she tries very hard and was hopeful she could pick up a race somewhere along the line.

Tough Remedy has also been declared for Carlisle on Monday. He has worked well at home and we'd be hopeful of an encouraging effort from him.

18/5/17  Lil Gem has been declared for Thirsk on Saturday. We hope she can aquit herself well in what looks a tight race on paper.

15/5/17  After a quiet few days things are about to start picking up in Titianium HQ. We have given Lil Gem a provisional entry at Thirsk on Saturday. Tough Remedy will also be given a speculative entry for Carlisle on Monday.

We also have a provisional date for our next stable visit which will be to Karl Burke's Spigot Lodge in Middleham on June 18th. More info will be available nearer the time.

8/5/17   We have a quiet period until our next runner, which will likely be Tough Remedy in a few weeks. Our trainers have all already had cracking starts to the year. Becky has had 6 winners (Flat & Jumps) so far from a small number of horses, she really is paving a way for herself against the big boys. Keith excels with his 2 year olds and has had a great start with 16 winners so far this season. Karl has made a good start from 85 individual runners he's had 14 winners including a 66/1 debut winner! Richard is flying the flag for the north with 48 winners on the score sheet already, we are really excited to be involved with 4 Top Northern trainers and their excellent teams of staff.

4/5/17   We had a great day at Pontefract yesterday. We all knew it was a tough ask but we couldn't have been happier with her. She behaved impeccably in the preliminaries, she ran well through the race sitting close to the pace but when push came to shove the weight concession really told. She ran all the way to the line though, and PJ was delighted with her attitude. Annie as she is known at home had a good blow after the race and will come on for it.  She is grand this morning and has enjoyed soaking up the sunshine in the field!

3/5/17 Its RACEDAY we are off on tour to Pontefract Racecourse with Desert Way for Rebecca Menzies and PJ McDonald in the saddle. Its a tough ask to concede so much weight to the 3 year olds but she will benefit from the run and has to start somewhere.

27/4/17  Our trainers are absolutely flying at the moment! Karl Burke had a winning newcomer last week at 66/1! And his horses continue to be in fine form. Richard Fahey has had a double so far today alone! Becky Menzies has also trained another winner up at Perth! That's a total of 21 winners for the year so far a fantastic achievement for a small team! Desert Way has been given her first entry at Pontefract next Wednesday there is also a race at Doncaster next Saturday which is a possibility!

25/4/17  We kindly received some photos from Spigot Lodge yesterday of Unwritten on the gallops with Jordan Vaughan in the saddle. He looks like he's developing well and we await his debut with bated breath. We also received a pic of Desert Way looking well at Howe Hills this morning ahead of her debut for us next week.

Desert Way

Desert Way

24/4/17 With April drawing to a close, the anticipation of our season getting under way commences! There's  lots to look forward to including Desert Way making her debut for us. We also now have a name for the Sepoy X Cynthia Calhoun filly (drum roll please) LIL GEM  who will hopefully be making her debut in the next couple of weeks once we've found a suitable first race. Tough Remedy is about 4/5 weeks off a run. We have a lot of extras in the pipeline, the first confirmed stud visit is to Juddmonte Farms in September where members will be able to see the likes of Frankel and Kingman et al.

11/4/17   Tomorrow Titanium will be present at GoffsUk we're not particularly looking to buy but you never know. If you have a spare hour or so its well worth watching the live stream via the GoffsUK site, as a different take on how the industry works. There will be updates on the Titanium twitter feed throughout the day.

6/4/17  April is starting to fly over and it wont be long before the season is in full swing. We've  had some encouraging updates from our trainers and  are starting to look at the calendar and select the races we feel will suit. We'd expect Lineofintelligence and Normandy Blue to be seen towards the end of May/early June when there will be some 7f maidens for them. We have a couple of races earmarked for Desert Way at the beginning of May. Anticipation is building to see Titanium's colours on the racecourse.

27/3/17  We received a couple of photos from Becky Menzies over the weekend of Desert Way enjoying the sunshine on the gallops. I'm sure you'll agree how well she looks! Gemma who is riding Desert Way does a fantastic job at keeping horses settled.

Tough As Nails who is the sire of our very own Tough Remedy had his first ever runner at Naas yesterday afternoon. My Silver Nails finished a very respectable 4th beaten 3 1/2 lengths showing plenty of early pace. We're very much looking forward to Tough Remedy making his debut.

21/3/17 It has been a quiet week here in Titanium Towers but with the Flat season just around the corner it's starting to hot up. Anticipation of what the season will bring is in full flow and we're very much looking forward to sharing exciting times with our members! Lineofintelligence is certainly looking forward to the season starting.

13/3/17 A follow on from Saturday at Richard's we also received a couple of photo updates of Skito Soldier, Unwritten and the Street Cry X Sweet Hope.

13/3/17 A big thanks must go out to Richard Fahey and his team for Saturday morning and our visit. It stayed dry and madefor perfect weather to view the boys on the gallops. They followed a lead horse and both were impeccably behaved. We cant wait to see them on a racecourse next!

10/3/17 They've arrived! We're ready for our stable visit tomorrow and the season ahead now!

8/3/17  All systems are now go ahead of Saturdays visit to Richard Fahey's expect lots of photos and updates over the weekend! Yesterday Tough Remedy was given an entry in the £250,000 Weatherby's Super Sprint which takes place at Newbury Racecourse on 22nd July.

We also received a photo of Desert Way enjoying a cooling off after being on the gallops at Becky Menzies yesterday.

6/3/17 We got an update over the weekend about the Street Cry colt and Skito Soldier. As you can see they both look fantastic. They still have a lot of growing and filling out to do, they remain in pre training at the moment. 2 back end types we're very much looking forward to seeing on the track.
